Approximately one third of all children experience parental divorce. Divorce is a distressing experience for everyone involved and often sets in motion a series of changes in a child's life, each which may cause stress & conflict. Many youngsters, perhaps most, cope well with their parents' breakup. However, many children struggle with confusion, fear, & sadness related to changes in their family. Relationships, behavior, & school performance, among other things, are often negatively affected. The stress of parental divorce may continue long beyond the actual divorce.

Parents have an opportunity to help their children cope with this traumatic event. This seminar is designed to assist parents in understanding the impact of divorce on children and provides parents with skills & tools to help their children adjust positively to the changes.
