Mark Simmons, Psy.D.

Mark Simmons. Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist and Certified Health Service Provider.  Dr. Simmons graduated from Bates College. He received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Simmons completed pre-doctoral training at the Couples and Family Clinic at Cambridge Health Alliance. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Prior to joining Child & Family Psychological Services Dr. Simmons was in private practice in Acton, Massachusetts.

SERVICES PROVIDED
Dr. Simmons provides psychological testing and assessment, individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as couples, group, and family therapy.  He has experience in the treatment of a wide range of mental and behavioral health problems, with expertise in treating relational difficulties, trauma related difficulties, generalized anxiety, depression, major mental illness (including psychotic disorders), Attention Deficit disorders, Non-verbal Learning Disorder, and Bipolar disorder.

AVAILABILITY 
Dr. Simmons is available in our Norwood office on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. He is also available in our Braintree office on Tuesdays.

INSURANCE NETWORKS
Dr. Simmons participates in the Aetna, Harvard Pilgrim (UBH-Pacificare), Blue Cross Blue and United Behavioral Health (UBH) networks.  Although he does not participate with Tufts Health Plan, their PPO plan does cover our services and we will bill THP directly for patients with the PPO plan.  THP HMO members must make payment at the time of service.
