Stephanie Nelson, Ph.D.

Stephanie Nelson, Ph.D., received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Vermont. Dr. Nelson completed her pre-doctoral internship and two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Williams College. Dr. Nelson’s research has focused on the efficacy and effectiveness of assessment methods in children with neurodevelopmental challenges.

Availability: Dr. Nelson is available on Monday-Wednesday and Friday in our Norwood office. Dr. Nelson is available in our Holliston and Braintree offices on Thursdays.

Services Provided
Dr. Nelson provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessments of school-aged children, adolescents, and young adults who are experiencing a wide range of psychological, neurodevelopmental, and medical difficulties. Appropriate referrals include attention and organization

problems, learning difficulties, language disorders, developmental disabilities, and cognitive challenges related to a medical condition or brain injury. Dr. Nelson also specializes in assessment of psychiatrically-complex children who are experiencing both neurocognitive and emotional/behavioral concerns. Evaluations include a profile of cognitive strengths and weaknesses, diagnostic clarification, and recommendations for treatment planning.
