Michele Lyons, Psy.D.

Michele Lyons, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist and Certified Health Service Provider. Dr. Lyons received her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford. She completed a pre-doctoral internship in child and adolescent psychology at Four Winds Hospital, Katonah, New York. Dr. Lyons also completed post-doctoral training at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center School and The Academy North, Reading, MA. Prior to joining Child & Family Psychological Services Dr. Lyons was a Staff Psychologist at UMASS/Wing Memorial Hospital’s outpatient mental health clinic.

SERVICES PROVIDED
Dr. Lyons is a clinical and health psychologist who integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy, stress management, relaxation training, guided imagery, and clinical hypnosis. Dr. Lyons uses these interventions to help patients and their families who are coping with cancer. She also has extensive experience in the following areas: women’s health, depression and anxiety in women and adolescent girls, parenting, and autism/asperger’s. She provides individual, couples, and family therapy.

AVAILABILITY
Dr. Lyons is available in our Norwood office on Tuesday and Thursday and in our Holliston office on Friday.

HEALTH PLAN NETWORKS
This doctor participates in the Aetna, Harvard Pilgrim (UBH-Pacificare), Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Behavioral Health (UBH) networks.

Although the doctor does not participate with Tufts Health Plan (THP), their PPO plan does coverage our services and we will bill THP directly for patients with the PPO plan. THP HMO members must make payment at the time of service. CIGNA and other network plans cover her services on an out of network basis. With the exception of Tufts Health Plan, payment for out of network services must be made at the time of service and the client must submit claims directly to the network.
